ABOUT ALISON After graduating from a small liberal arts college in the midwest, Alison Emerick spent most of her twenties traveling the world—teaching English to middle schoolers in Japan, tasting food and discovering beaches in southeast Asia, working with a nonprofit for trafficked women in Cambodia. She even had a brief stint working with the refugee arm of the UN in South Africa. A graduate degree in public policy and six years in Washington DC later, Alison decided the bureaucratic office life was not for her. She headed west in her (new to her) Subaru with a few cameras and a bunch of dreams. Alison now lives in Denver, Colorado with her husband, five moody chickens, and a puppy named Daisy. She loves photographing interesting people, places, and things that make her smile. Her clients say that she is calm, cool and collected and makes them feel at ease. Alison is known for her colorful, in the moment, natural photography.
